Following the Coronavirus pandemic we are back to face-to-face meetings in person at....
Our Meeting Place : The Golden Lion Hotel, 114, High Street, Northallerton, North Yorkshire. DL7 8PP
6.30pm on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Cocktail Lounge of The Golden Lion Hotel on Northallerton High Street. Partners, friends and carers are most welcome. We occasionally have guest speakers come along to inform and answer questions. In the past these have included Haematology Doctors, Specialist Nurses, a Professor and representatives from various charities including Myeloma UK, Bloodwise, Bright Red and local charities such as Herriot Hospice Homecare. It’s free ( including the car parking ). Refreshments are available to purchase at the Bar and also tea/coffee etc. There is no need to pre-arrange attendance but by all means contact us if you are unsure. |

May 18th 2022 saw our return to the Golden Lion Hotel following 2 years of virtual meetings via Zoom. We were joined by our good friend, Jennie Lawn, Macmillan Haematology Nurse Specialist.
June 17th 2020 Guest Speaker is Professor Graham Jackson MA MBBS FRCP FRCPath MD
Professor Jackson works in Haematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation at Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is a Professor of Clinical Haematology at Newcastle University. He holds Myeloma, Lymphoma and Stem Cell Transplant Clinics at the Freeman Hospital Newcastle. He is a past President of the British Society of Haematology. He is also the President of the British Society of Blood and Marrow Transplantation (BSBMT) and serves on the Clinical Trials Awards and Advisory Committee (CTAAC) as well as the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research grants committee. He is also actively involved in the national myeloma trials committee and led the recent Myeloma XI trials.
